The Coquest Club is in need of alot of repair but location wise its a great option and the fact that no team seems to be using the main pitch is good and the other two pitches around the main pitch dont seem to be in use to.
A bit of a tidy up and the main pitch area would look good its just the changing rooms(in a real bad state) and club house(not in such a bad state) that need a lot of work done to them.

I really hope Southall FC can use the Conquest Club.

Okay, so what is

Postby Pablo on Tue May 13, 2008 2:36 pm

the small building on the touch-line, any ideas? Okay, according to some photo's I just found there is, or was a seventy seater, roofless stand.

Now I don't know what the club-house has re: refreshments but I have personally held licenses in various counties. Never been refused one and never had one cancelled.

There was a little stand without a roof when Hounslow Borough FC were playing at the Conquest Club but that stand has now been taking down all that is left on the main pitch are goals, metal fencing around the pitch,a concreate path around the pitch and 3 dugouts yes 3 dugouts. The changing rooms have been gutted but the clubhouse does not look to bad.

Hiya mate, thanks for putting me straight. I found the photo's on the web. Just typed in Conquest Club and came up with some stuff.

What worries me is we were all here talking about the same thing a year ago. Why have we not moved on, so to speak? I know the matter of the Conquest Club was raised and was told personally SFC were considering and even planning then to do something there. There was quite a lot of talk about it at the time. Anyone know why it didn't come to fruition?

Our team had a relatively successful season but stll we are homeless. I know there are many clubs without a ground but this is Southall, they should have a home.

RAF Northolt

What about the pitch and facilities there, would there be no chance of sharing if it was up to standard.

If you are on about the Conquest Club i dont know if Southall FC would have to groundshare with anyone at the Conquest Club as Hounslow Borough FC folded towards the end of the 2006/07 season so as far as i know no teams play at the Conquest Club anymore and there are 3 pitches there so it could be the perfect new home for Southall FC.You would have the main pitch for the first team and the other two pitches for the reserves, youth and training.

I thought I made a post re: RAF Northolt. There is a pitch there with floodlights. Would there be a chance of sharing there if Conquest was a no go?

The Affiliation Form for Middlesex County FA has already arrived asking for details for the coming season although my submission of this will be after the MCFL AGM.

If a suitable venue is not found then we will continue in Division One.

Pitch Next Season

Postby Raj Flora on Sat Jun 07, 2008 8:21 am

I don't think we need a pitch with flood lights,
Indian Gymkhana don't have a flood lit pitch, but they are still in the prem.

As long as the facilities are up the scratch then there should be no issues on a pitch,
well a decent pitch needs to be found first.

Following the MCFL AGM Southall have been provisionally placed in the Premier Division of the Middlesex County League.

At present the provisional make up of the Premier Division is:

Brazilian
Broadfields United
FC Deportivo Galicia
Hayes Gate
Hayes United
Indian Gymkhana
Kodak (Harrow)
Marsh Rangers
Newham Borough
North Greenford United Social
Park View
South Kilburn
Southall
Sutton Common Rovers
Willesden Constantine

The season is due to commence on August 16th.

As for a suitable venue for the Premier Division Southall has been offered the use of Osterley Sports Centre which meets Premier Division requirements.

No agreement has yet been signed.
