Southall Football Club

Could someone tell me what the nickname is for southall fc, i have been looking around and cant find it anywhere. Anyone any ideas

Ironically, in the Southall FC Official Handbooks for 58/9 and 59/60, though very good publications, neither refers to a club nickname. However the programme dated 23 Aug 1947 v Redhill (the first Southall match I ever saw!!!) in the programme notes it states'Give "The All's" a big hand and help them all you can". I can recall there was some attempt to call the team the "Fowlers" - in recognition of long serving President Bob Fowler, but this never really caught on - perhaps just as well as no doubt others would have made it "Foulers"!!! I saw many Southall matches up until the late sixties but only the occasional match since then as I am no longer in the area. However still try to follow the club's exploits and all credit to Geoff for the work he has done to keep the club alive.

My uncle, Neil Slater, was a regular at Western Road (and sometimes travelled to away games too) throughout the 60's and early-mid 70's. He and his mates always used to refer to Southall as 'The Stiffs.'

I'm not sure how widespread that nickname was though, and I can't see it ever becoming official!

would normally apply to any reserve side at any club.
It was always the 'All' when I used to get to Western Rd.
